Data Vortex Technologies is a Texas-based IP and deep tech firm that provides FPGA based high-performance network accelerator technology to solve a fundamental challenge in modern computing and analytics: moving data efficiently between the processors, memory, and accelerators that define today’s most demanding systems.

At the foundation of the company is the novel Data Vortex topology invented by Dr. Coke S. Reed. Dr. Reed recognized that an underlying dynamical system from mathematics could be adapted for moving information rather than particles. His mathematical discovery led to inventing patented networking architecture for high-bandwidth, low-latency, fine-grained data movement without the inherent congestion found in conventional, legacy technologies.

Over the years, Data Vortex Technologies has brought on engineers and technologists whose careers include work across the U.S. intelligence and defense communities, as well as business leaders with experience across multiple technology verticals.

Today, Data Vortex is applying that heritage and core technical foundation to a broader generation of computing challenges including AI, high-performance computing, graph analytics, chiplet and network-on-chip architectures, and other increasingly parallel systems. With a globally protected IP portfolio and decades of deep mathematical and engineering development, Data Vortex is advancing a fundamentally different approach to moving data, with exponential performance and energy efficiency.

The Data Vortex topology is globally protected through 2039, with multiple patent families covering its widespread use as a parallel data switch, from connecting servers in a system to connecting a large number of cores as a network on chip.
